English Language Summer Camps Albena 2016

Albena Black Sea Resort, Bulgaria

The 3-week camp program is designed for students 10-18 years of age who want to combine a sea summer vacation with learning English.

English language classes

   The English language classes will be of small size-10-15 students per class. The teachers will use interactive, communicative, and entertaining techniques for teaching English. Students will develop their communication and presentation skills through debates, discussions, simulation of real life situations, competitive group games, and many more. In addition to the classes students will speak in English during the afternoon and evening activities, thus further improving their conversational skills.

Sports

The following sports are vailable at the Balck Sea Resort Albena – Beach Soccer, Swimming, Billiards, Beach Volleyball, Streetball, Table tennis

Tennis, Fitness, Mini golf and Darts are available for additional payment

Excursions

Three excursions are included in the camp program. The excursions are part of the educational goals of the camp, therefore they are mandatory for all campers, teachers, and staff.

Excursion to the town of Balchik, famous for its old architecture and cultural monuments. We will visit the Castle of the Romanian Queen Maria, built in the beginning of the 20th century; the Botanical Garden, the biggest on the Balkan Peninsula and second in the world with a collection of more than 25 000 species; the art gallery and the historical museum. After Balchik we will visit Kaliakra. Kaliakra is a long and narrow headland in the north part of the Black Sea which is one of the most visited tourist places because of the rich history, preserved nature and beautiful panorama views.

Excursion to the city of Varna, the Black Sea capital of Bulgaria. We will visit the archeological museum, the Sea Garden, and the Roman Baths. Shopping in the Mall is part of this interesting trip.

Excursion to the town of Nesebar which is one of the most ancient towns in Europe found 3200 years ago. Architectural- historical reserve of Nesebar is situated in the Old Town which is a peninsula long 850 m. and wide 350 m. In 1983 UNESCO includes the town in the List of the remains of the World Historical Heritage.The sea resort of Sunny Beach is the biggest internationally popular Bulgarian resort which is situated close to Nesebar.

Teambuilding

The show Bulgarian for One Day is a teambuilding game for foreigners. A team of specialists present aspects of Bulgarian lifestyle and traditions, in an exciting and fun way. Participants learn how to make traditional banitsa, martenitsa, how to dance Bulgarian horo, and much more. Entertainment and fun goes hand in hand with learning about Bulgarian culture during the 3-hour show. Students will be given certificates for participation, as well as souvenirs which they made themselves.
